Chris has over two decades of experience in financial services and has worked in several roles in the trust industry, including Trust Operations Manager, Trust Officer, and Trust Team Lead.
Chris Bouwman joined Zedra Trust Company (SD) Limited as a Senior Trust Officer in May 2023.
He most recently worked as a Senior Trust Officer and Team Lead for one of the largest banks in the United States, providing situs-centric trust services to its high net worth and ultra high net worth clients.
He has extensive knowledge of tax and compliance matters, trust administration of US domestic and foreign trust structures, and in-bound US planning considerations. He has experience with trust operations and custody issues, as well as extensive experience in the non-profit arena, with a particular interest in foundations and endowments.
Chris is an Honor Graduate of Cannon Trust School (2014). He currently maintains the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation and is a former Certified Public Accountant (currently in registered status). He is an active member of the Sioux Falls Estate Planning Council and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and has been involved with various non-profits as volunteer, audit committee member, and board member.
