ZEDRA supports the States of Guernsey with the incorporation of a new Social Investment Fund

Earlier this year, ZEDRA’s team in Guernsey were honoured to be chosen to assist the States of Guernsey Policy & Resources Committee with the incorporation of a new Limited by Guarantee Company.
The company, named ‘Social Investment Fund LBG (‘SIF’)’ was incorporated as a charitable vehicle. Its aim is to provide financial and non-financial support and guidance to charitable organisations in the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Through the SIF, the authorities could collect donations which would be used to provide support to local charities and assist with the Bailiwick’s broader COVID-19 coronavirus response.
We incorporated the company at the beginning of Guernsey’s lockdown while we were working at home for the first time. The project has been very important for our community, and we worked hard to ensure that it was incorporated in the minimum timeframe.
ZEDRA act as Registered Agent for the fund and provide a registered office and ongoing company secretarial support.
We were delighted to have been able to help with the project, especially at such an uncertain time. SIF have run a successful public appeal as well as making grant awards to local charities and organisations so far. Charitable and philanthropic endeavours are always close to our hearts at ZEDRA, but this was especially important to us, given we were involved in a project which has directly impacted our local community in such a positive way. We were delighted to be chosen to assist.
