AEOI Manager

We are looking for an experienced AEOI Manager to lead our FATCA and CRS reporting activities and ensure compliance with global tax reporting requirements across our fiduciary services business.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing AEOI reporting processes, maintaining high standards of data quality and regulatory compliance, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and driving technology and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy. You will also act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on AEOI obligations and supporting the business in managing regulatory risks.

Location: This role can be based in Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey, or Poland, offering the opportunity to work as part of our international AEOI and regulatory reporting team.
Key Responsibilities
AEOI Reporting & Compliance
- Lead and manage the annual FATCA and CRS reporting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate submissions to tax authorities.
- Ensure AEOI policies, procedures, and controls are implemented and maintained in line with local and international regulatory requirements.
- Perform data validation, quality assurance, and reconciliation activities to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Prepare reports, certifications, and supporting documentation required for compliance obligations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of AEOI regulations and their application within fiduciary services.
Stakeholder Management & Advisory
- Act as the subject matter expert for AEOI-related matters, providing guidance on reporting obligations and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Client Services, and local business teams to support reporting activities and drive data quality improvements.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, auditors, tax authorities, and other external stakeholders.
- Support client-facing teams in collecting and maintaining accurate client information.
- Respond to ad-hoc regulatory and reporting queries from the business.
Technology, Automation & Process Improvement
- Collaborate with technology teams to streamline and automate AEOI reporting processes.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of reporting technology solutions aligned with global tax regulations.
- Conduct gap analyses and define business requirements for automation, data collection, and system integrations.
- Implement solutions that improve the efficiency of data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
- Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies to enhance reporting capabilities and operational effectiveness.
Risk Management & Controls
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AEOI reporting, including data quality issues, compliance risks, and reporting failures.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Regularly review and enhance reporting procedures to ensure continued compliance with evolving regulations.
- Support audit and regulatory reviews where required.
Training & Development
- Develop and deliver training sessions and materials on AEOI obligations, regulatory updates, and best practices.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the business.
- Stay informed of regulatory developments and industry trends within the global tax reporting landscape.
About You
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification or advanced degree would be advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in AEOI reporting, FATCA/CRS compliance, or a related regulatory reporting role within financial or fiduciary services.
- Demonstrated management experience within the fiduciary services industry.
- Strong knowledge of AEOI, FATCA, CRS, and global tax reporting frameworks.
- Experience managing technology-driven reporting processes and regulatory reporting systems.
- Familiarity with global tax regulations, particularly within fiduciary environments.
- Experience with tax reporting software, XML schemas, reporting platforms, and automation tools.
- Strong data analysis and validation skills, including proficiency in Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
- Project and change management experience would be beneficial.
