Assistant Compliance Officer

ZEDRA is looking for an Assistant Compliance Officer to join its international Compliance team and play an active role in supporting the business across EU and local regulatory requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone with around three years of experience who is ready to grow their expertise within a global, well‑established organisation.
We are looking for a motivated, detail‑oriented professional who enjoys working in a regulated environment and wants to develop their career alongside experienced compliance specialists. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and ongoing monitoring of compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct routine compliance checks and support regulatory reviews and audits.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of compliance records, reports, and documentation.
- Monitor regulatory developments (EU and local) and support updates to internal policies.
- Assist in investigating potential compliance issues and escalating matters where required.
- Support compliance training and awareness activities across the business.
- Liaise with internal teams and, where needed, regulatory authorities under supervision.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Around 3 years’ experience in a compliance, regulatory, or risk-related role.
- Good understanding of regulatory compliance within a financial services or regulated environment.
Key Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage day-to-day tasks independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Personal Attributes:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- Demonstrate a genuine interest in compliance, regulation, and risk awareness.
- Show a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical thinking.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally.
- Act with discretion and professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.
