Head of Legal
Maria’s main areas of practice are corporate, commercial, and financial services legislation.
She provides ongoing support and regularly assists international business clients in corporate matters ranging from corporate restructuring and corporate finance to contracting, M&A and due diligence processes.
She is also well-versed in trusts and foundations legislation, and assists clients not only with the establishment of such structures but also with their ongoing administration and compliance with applicable legal requirements.
In 2022, she obtained the Foundation Certificate in Trusts Law and Administration issued by the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners.
In 2025, Maria successfully completed an Award in Taxation with the Malta Institute of Taxation, enabling her to approach matters with both a legal and tax perspective.
Prior to joining ZEDRA in 2021, Maria worked within the corporate law department of one of Malta’s leading law firms.
