This US headquartered company makes fault-tolerant solutions for distributed systems that are easy to operate at scale for managing massive amounts of active, unstructured data. Their databases are used by businesses to power their critical web, mobile and social applications. Their Platform helps enterprises reduce the complexity of supporting Big Data applications.
The Business Challenge
Founded in 2008, this Bellevue, Washington company was one of the first distributed systems companies dedicated to developing disruptive technology to simplify the most critical data management challenges.
Their EMEA General Manager turned to us in the summer of 2012 to help with expansion into Europe – first into the UK and then further afield. The challenge was going to be setting up and managing the EMEA operations through the UK subsidiary and allow the parent company to focus on developing products, growing the team and increasing sales.

The Solution
Since setting up their UK office in February 2012, we have been providing an integrated combination of strategic advice, management and financial reporting, tax compliance, payroll, HR and multi-territory coordination to support the business through its international expansion. Offices in Finland, France and Denmark have followed on from the UK success and has allowed the company to maintain solid operations across Europe.
Outcome
Today, the company is recognised in the DBTA 100 as one of the companies that matter most in data and the CRN Big Data 100 for data management. They also enjoy a large and growing following among influential programmers, architects and academics, and organise the RICON conference which brings together leading luminaries in distributed database management.
