Head Of Compliance (BSA/AML Officer)
Elizabeth brings over 17 years’ experience analysing complex trust and layered corporate structures from a AMLCTF perspective.
Elizabeth joined Zedra in June of 2023 and is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining BSA AMLCTF polices and procedures.
In addition, Elizabeth responsible for internal and is the key contact for external audits.
She provides training and guidance on BSA AMLCTF regulations, and general best practices. Elizabeth oversees periodic fiduciary reviews to assess compliance with BSA AMLCTF legislation.
In her remit as the BSA/AML officer, Elizabeth monitors and reviews FinCEN 314(a) notices.
Elizabeth is mindful of the constant change to the financial services legislative landscape, and she remains updated on latest developments, regulations and guidelines related to USA financial services legislation and in particular FinCEN 314(a) developments and other relevant AMLCTF guidance.
Prior to joining ZEDRA, Elizabeth held various senior Governance, Risk and Compliance roles in the British Virgin Islands, a premier Trust and Corporate Services jurisdiction.
Elizabeth is a Fellow of the International Compliance Association (UK) and obtained an International Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance, and an International Certificate in Compliance and Financial Crime from the University of Manchester, UK. Similarly in the US, she holds a Paralegal Diploma, having received focused training from the Institute for US Law, George Washington University Law School in International Compliance and Anti-Corruption. In addition, Elizabeth also holds a certificate in Estate Law from The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario, Canada. Elizabeth has also benefitted from mediation training from the Judicial Education Institute of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and is a Commissioner for Oaths in the British Virgin Islands (non-practicing).
