Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our growing team in Capellen and work closely with emerging and mid‑market fund managers.

In this role, you’ll be involved in the full accounting and tax reporting cycle — from fund setup and bookkeeping to NAV calculation, annual accounts, VAT and tax returns. You’ll support clients through complex reporting requirements, collaborate with auditors and internal teams, and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Bookkeeping and net asset value calculation;
  • Process capital calls, distributions and investor allocations;
  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations and process payments;
  • Ensure adherence to LuxGAAP and other applicable financial reporting standards as needed;
  • Preparation of periodic reporting;
  • Communication with the administrations, the auditors and other stakeholders;
  • Preparation of annual accounts;
  • Preparation of VAT and corporate tax returns in compliance with local regulations including partnership returns

Client Delivery

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through each phase of the accounting and reporting process, balancing the need to act quickly with the need to ensure we help the client meet their legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Work pro-actively with your clients to understand their business needs, and develop solutions to meet those needs in a timely manner.
  • Record and escalate client complaints in a timely manner, and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Encourage all clients to complete our Client Satisfaction survey, and share feedback received from clients with your line manager.
  • Identify opportunities to deliver additional services to our clients, and additional revenue, ensuring these are passed on promptly to the relationship lead / commercial team to action.

Operations

  • Ensure all activities including chargeable and non-chargeable work is recorded in your timesheet, which should be submitted on time each month.
  • Ensure all critical internal and external reporting deadlines are met and data quality is maintained in line with Group standards.
  • Ensure all client information received is properly reviewed, communicated to clients, acted upon, and filed.
  • Ensure four-eyes principles and checklists are completed, signed and filed, and transaction monitoring checks are performed on all relevant transactions.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement culture, provide ongoing feedback on improvements that can be to our operations to enhance client experience, reduce time spent, and operational risk.

Risk Management

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed including AML/KYC checks to protect our clients and our business.
  • Ensure any process/control failures or incidents are escalated immediately, fully recorded and learnings taken across the team to avoid or improve in the future.
  • Fully adopt and utilize core technology tools to ensure consistency and deliver efficiency.
  • Adopt a pro-active approach to managing risks each day, focusing on doing the right thing, and making good risk based decisions that drive sustainable long term results for the business.

People

  • Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative culture, role modelling a ‘one team’ approach, working well with all colleagues across the Luxembourg business, and living the Zedra values.
  • Undertake regular one-to-ones with your line manager, providing updates on performance against your objectives and acting on feedback to continuously improve your performance.
  • Focus on your own personal development, identifying at least one development priority and working to improve that area, with support from your line manager, throughout the year.
  • Ensure all mandatory trainings are completed on time and to the best of your ability.
  • Work with your team and line manager to identify and support improvements that address collective feedback given through the Employee Engagement surveys.

Knowledge and Experience

  • You will have at least 5 years of experience in the accounting domain and the calculation of net asset value.
  • You are familiar with the Luxembourg tax mechanisms applied to companies, and have an interest in international tax;
  • You have knowledge of current LUX GAAP reporting and experience in accounting for a range of fund structures, including the consolidation of complex alternative fund structures – IFRS experience a helpful addition;
  • You understand the operation of accounting tools and Microsoft Office, mastery of BOB is an asset;
  • You are autonomous, rigorous, precise and organized with a methodical approach to managing client files;
  • Strong awareness of risk, with a pro-active risk culture that supports good long term decision making which balances risk with the need to deliver for clients;
  • Analytical problem solving skills, able to deal with complex issues quickly, and translate them into simple terms and key actions for colleagues and clients;
  • Demonstrate technical competency and an ability to impart that knowledge to others effectively.
