Onboarding Officer

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Creapartners team in Capellen, working with emerging and mid-market fund managers to onboard investors and undertake investing activities to support their growth aspirations.
Working as part of our client relationship team, this role supports the client through the investor onboarding process, providing quick and timely guidance to the client and the team on the information needed to meet their AML/CFT obligations, and quickly onboard the fund and investor to enable investing activity to commence.
Responsibilities include assisting with client welcome and onboarding, business acceptance process, ensuring our activities align with the service agreements put in place, dealing with ongoing client management and, where needed, offboarding, performing periodic reviews, supporting investment activities, and ensuring compliance data management is up-to-date. The position also entails reviewing client files for compliance gaps, assisting in transaction monitoring, and mitigating risks across operations.
Additionally, the role requires working closely with a diverse team of administrators and accountants, providing coaching and support under the direction of the Corporate Director and senior management, preparing various reports, and ensuring high standards of client service while meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge and Experience
- Sound knowledge of current AML laws and regulations for Luxembourg.
- Understanding of alternative funds, and fund structures in Luxembourg, as well as different investor types and due diligence requirements for each.
- Strong awareness of risk, with a pro-active risk culture that supports good long term decision making which balances risk with the need to deliver for clients.
- Analytical problem solving skills, able to deal with complex issues quickly, and translate them into simple terms and key actions for colleagues and clients.
- Demonstrate technical competency and an ability to impart that knowledge to others effectively.
- Passion for delivering a great client experience, with the ability to communicate with clients and other stakeholders clearly, dealing with difficult situations and conflict where necessary.
- An inclusive and collaborative approach with colleagues and key stakeholders.
- A proactive, solution oriented approach, able to work independently but always as part of a team.
- The successful candidate will be fluent in English and have a good understanding of French. An understanding of other languages is an advantage.
- Expected to hold or be committed to working towards relevant professional qualification (such as ICA, ACAMS or similar),
- Excel / data base proficiency is a must.
