We’re looking for a Group Head of Data to join ZEDRA and lead Data Strategy and Governance efforts across our service lines.

As Group Head of Data, you will be defining, planning, and executing initiatives to leverage data as a strategic asset. This includes establishing robust data governance frameworks, driving data quality, and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities to optimise business processes and decision-making.

You will also identify opportunities for data-driven innovation, designing solutions, overseeing implementation, and continuously refining processes to ensure compliance, efficiency, and insight generation.

This role is available remotely in the UK.

Key Accountabilities

  • Data Strategy – Develop and implement ZEDRA’s enterprise-wide Data Strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Data Governance – Establish and maintain data governance policies, standards, and controls to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • Data Architecture – Define and oversee the design of scalable data architecture supporting analytics, automation, and reporting needs.
  • Analytics Enablement – Drive adoption of advanced analytics and AI tools to unlock insights and enhance decision-making.
  • Project Management – Oversee planning and execution of data-related projects from inception to completion.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Maintain open communication with stakeholders, including senior management, to report on progress and benefits of data initiatives.
  • Risk Management – Identify potential risks associated with data management and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Vendor Management – Manage relationships with data platform providers and maximise delivery from these partnerships.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in scaling data management and analytics initiatives within financial services.
  • Expertise in data governance, data quality frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in data architecture and integration principles.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML and data visualisation tools.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging trends and technologies.
  • Project management experience in large cross-functional programmes.
  • University educated or have IT/Data-related qualifications.
  • Experience working within a financial services environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
