We are looking for a newly qualified audit Responsible Individual (RI) or someone looking to take the step up to be an audit RI to assist with leading a growing audit team alongside a team of other directors and RI’s. The candidate must be personable with strong communication and leadership skills.

The individual will be recognised as a leader promoting the company and our business objectives whilst driving morale by providing support and guidance (technical and otherwise) to their team. They will have direct responsibility and accountability for developing processes and systems within the department, the delivery of risk and operational targets and key performance indicators for their department.

Excellent client service and process delivery will be key to being successful in this role.

 

 

Knowledge and Experience

Relevant Experience

  • Current senior manager or director, looking to develop into an RI.
  • Ideally experience of using CaseWare audit software.
  • Ideally experience with international relationships and clients that have expanded to the UK via inward investment.
  • UK GAAP and IFRS experience. Knowledge of US GAAP useful, but not completely necessary.

Attributes/Technical Skills

  • Developing leadership skills.
  • Good communication both internally and externally.
  • Strong technical ability and up-to-date with audit and accounting updates and changes on the horizon.
  • Ability to work closely with other directors to develop the audit team.

Managerial Experience

  • The role holder will have demonstrable experience in leading, coaching, and supporting colleagues and have prior senior managerial experience. They will be able to act as a thought leader in their team and know how to drive consistencies and efficiencies through their team with 10 years+ relevant experience.

Personal Attributes

  • The role holder will be able to establish themselves as technical expert on all matters relating to audit within as well as outside the company.
  • They will put their clients at the centre of everything they do, building relationships and exceeding expectations, they will be flexible and professional when working under time driven pressures and will have excellent prioritisation and time management skills. They have high attention to detail and can act with a great degree of accuracy. They will be self-motivated and focused on exceeding targets and goals and be supportive and respectful to the team and colleagues.
  • The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent values and furthermore have a high level of personal and interpersonal skills, building relationships with both clients and colleagues.

Educational and Professional Qualification

Ideally the candidate would be ACA qualified (or equivalent) although ACCA qualified candidates will be considered.
