Exciting opportunities to join our growing Creapartners team in Capellen, working with emerging and mid-market fund managers to complete their accounting and tax reporting activities to support their growth aspirations.
Working as part of our accounting and tax team, this role supports the client through the setup of their fund structure, ongoing bookkeeping activities, NAV production, accounts preparation and reporting . You will provide quick and timely guidance to the client and the team on the information needed to meet their reporting obligations, and ensure timely production of accounts and submission of VAT and tax returns.
Responsibilities include bookkeeping, preparation of NAV, regular reporting and account preparation as well as dealing with auditors. In addition you will help prepare tax and VAT returns, and support the client dealing with challenges with their reporting to investors and regulators. You will need to be organized, have great communication skills to keep client informed, and problem solving skills to help manage challenging reporting requirements.
Additionally, the role requires working closely with a diverse team of administrators, onboarding colleagues and relationship managers, providing coaching and support under the direction of the Director, Accounting and Tax, and senior management, preparing various reports, and ensuring high standards of client service while meeting compliance and regulatory requirements.
Key Accountabilities
You will work as part of a team of accountants and tax experts to support our corporate and funds clients with the following activities
- Bookkeeping and net asset value calculation;
- Process capital calls, distributions and investor allocations;
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations and process payments;
- Ensure adherence to LuxGAAP and other applicable financial reporting standards as needed;
- Preparation of periodic reporting;
- Communication with the administrations, the auditors and other stakeholders;
- Preparation of annual accounts;
- Preparation of VAT and corporate tax returns in compliance with local regulations including partnership returns
Knowledge and Experience
- You will have 5-7 years’ experience (3-5 years for Associate) in the accounting of Luxembourg funds and the calculation of net asset value.
- You are familiar with the Luxembourg tax mechanisms applied to companies, and have an interest in international tax;
- You have knowledge of current LUX GAAP reporting and experience in accounting for a range of fund structures, including the consolidation of complex alternative fund structures – IFRS experience a helpful addition;
- Understanding of alternative funds, and fund structures in Luxembourg;
- You understand the operation of accounting tools and Microsoft Office, mastery of BOB is an asset;
- You are autonomous, rigorous, precise and organized with a methodical approach to managing client files;
- Strong awareness of risk, with a pro-active risk culture that supports good long term decision making which balances risk with the need to deliver for clients;
- Analytical problem solving skills, able to deal with complex issues quickly, and translate them into simple terms and key actions for colleagues and clients;
- Demonstrate technical competency and an ability to impart that knowledge to others effectively.
